This is the hardest message I’ve ever had to write. After much soul-searching, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close Bike Ohio.
Closing a local bike shop feels a bit like closing a church. It’s more than just a place of business; it’s a gathering spot for stories, a hub for adventures, and a home for a community that I care about deeply. Our team is world-class, and our customers have become family.
I have spent a long time trying to find the right person to "pass the torch" to, but unfortunately, a successor hasn’t been found. At this stage, I need to prioritize my own well-being and turn my full attention to my family.
While I wish there were a different outcome, I am choosing to look back with gratitude. Thank you for letting us be part of your rides, your races, and your weekend escapes.
I’m not hanging up my helmet for good—I’m just shifting gears. I look forward to finally having the time to get back out on my own bike. I hope to see you all out there on the roads and the trails soon.
